In recent years, the shipping and offshore industry has experienced numerous high-profile bankruptcies and restructurings, including Seadrill, Swiber Offshore, OSG, Hanjin, Hyundai, Solstad, Farstad, and the EMAS Group. Some have created havoc in the shipping industry, while others have not. What are the lessons learned? What can participants in the maritime industry do to protect themselves? The session will address these and other questions relevant to insolvency and restructuring in shipping.
