Biography
David Weisner is the Head of the Tax Product and Practice team for Global Tax Services and is based in Boston. In this role, he provides tailored tax expertise and solutions for asset managers and banks across a wide range of investment vehicles in close to 100 markets.
David joined BBH in 2015, bringing extensive industry experience across a number of international firms. Prior to BBH, he worked with Citibank, based in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for tax matters relating to Citi’s Global Consumer Group, Private Bank, Treasury and Trade Solutions, and Markets and Securities Services businesses throughout Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Citi, David worked for Fidelity Investments (Boston). David began his career working as a tax lawyer at Deloitte & Touche (New York, Hong Kong) and later for White & Case (Tokyo).
David is involved in the taxation committees of various industry groups including, Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA), Association of Global Custodians (AGC), Risk Management Association (RMA), and International Securities Lending Association (ISLA). He is a frequent external speaker and conference panelist and has spoken on tax matters in over 20 different countries.
David is a graduate of Washington University, St. Louis and Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, New York. He is a member of the Illinois Bar, the American Bar Association and the International Bar Association.
