Sara Aalamri

Biography

Sara Aalamri is a partner in AlGhazzawi & Partners, one of the largest law firms in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia established since 1969. Sara is based in the Jeddah office and her practice focuses on commercial law and litigation, dispute resolution, construction disputes and international arbitration. Sara graduated with honours among the first class of women law students to graduate from King Abdulaziz University, the first Saudi university to establish law major for women in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She earned her LLM in Banking and Financial Law from Boston University School of Law on scholarship from the Saudi Ministry of Education. She also earned a scholarship from the IBA Young Arab Lawyers’ Committee in 2011. Sara is one of the first Saudi women lawyers to be licensed to practice law in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and she was featured on Boston University School of Law's International Law Newsletter (Spring 2014) and on the Women Lawyers Division of the Law Society of England and Wales website in addition to local television and newspapers. Sara has been appointed by his Eminence the Saudi Minister of Justice, in his capacity as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Bar Association, as a member of the Lawyers Committee of Makkah Region. In acknowledgement of her achievements, Sara was featured in Boston University School of Law 150th Anniversary Commemorative Book released in September 2022.
