Biography

Lianne is the Managing Partner of Hausfeld in London and a commercial litigator with over 20 years of experience. She has a broad domestic and international practice with particular expertise in corporate and commercial disputes including shareholder claims, financial services and banking, securities litigation and competition litigation (standalone and follow-on cartel damages claims). A Spanish speaker, Lianne leads the firm's business development activities in Spain, acting regularly for Spanish clients. The conflict-free platform at Hausfeld means that Lianne regularly takes on cases against major banks and large financial institutions. Lianne is also interested in the developing law in the area of collective redress and has acted in a number of cases involving large groups of claimants. She is very much involved in pro bono and public interest work, with a particularly keen interest in climate and environmental litigation. Lianne is well versed in the use of third party funding, insurance and creative fee structures. In 2020, Lianne was awarded the Legal 500 Award for Dispute Resolution (London) Individual of the Year. She was recently listed by The Lawyer in their "Hot 100" list for 2021 which recognises excellence and relevance across the legal profession in the UK.
