Matthieu Brochier
Biography
Matthieu Brochier, partner, is specialised in the resolution of business law disputes. He co-heads Darrois’ civil, commercial and stock market litigation team. He is involved in domestic and cross border court proceedings, before civil, commercial and criminal courts, as well as before regulatory authorities such as the AMF, and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. He advises companies, managers and shareholders – French or international – on business law (corporate law, commercial law, stock exchange law, restructuring proceedings), civil law (contract law, tort) and white-collar litigation. He also works on ESG litigation and pre-litigation concerning, in particular those relating to the liability of commercial companies and their executives. Matthieu has developed a renowned experience in complex litigation involving important legal, financial and reputational stakes, by providing his legal skills and judicial experience, alongside other departments of the firm, to his clients, for instance when they face class actions, activists claims or litigations involving both civil and criminal or AMF proceedings. Matthieu is a laureate of the pleading contest of the Paris Bar Conference. He lectures at the Paris Bar School, the French National School for Magistrates, Sciences Po Paris and HEAD Law School, where he has created a judicial writing workshop and the first French business law clinic for start-up founders. He also participated in the creation of an artificial intelligence system in business litigation.
