Biography

John Sommer Schmidt is partner and heads Gorrissen Federspiel’s Insolvency group. His area of practice covers all aspects of dis-tressed companies, such as restructuring, including voluntary debt arrangements, and winding-up. He has extensive experience in all aspects of Danish bankruptcy and restructuring law, and he acts as insolvency administrator, bankruptcy trustee and liquidator. John Sommer Schmidt is also official liquidator/trustee with the Bankruptcy Court in Aarhus. In addition, John Sommer Schmidt advises clients on the establishment, securing and enforcement of all kinds of creditors’ rights and he is engaged in litigation both with and without relation to insolvency law.
