Caroline Berube

Caroline graduated from McGill University (Canada) with a BCL and LL.B degree and completed her studies at the National University of Singapore for one year with a focus on Chinese law in 1998. Caroline has represented international corporate clients and banks in asset financing and M&A cross-border transactions in Asia for more than 22 years between Singapore, Bangkok and China. She has spent a majority of that time in China, focusing on corporate, IP and arbitration, an area in which she has built a respected expertise and understanding of the challenges and advantages of most Asian jurisdictions. She advises many Asian, European and North American clients on their legal structure, IP, HR and investments issues in Asia and has been featured in numerous magazines and newspapers, including Bloomberg News, the Singapore Straits Times, The Business Times, The Asian Legal Business and La Presse. Caroline is also a regular speaker at many international conferences.

Riccardo Cajola

Riccardo G. Cajola is an attorney at law, licensed to practice in Italy and admitted before the Court of Cassation.

Riccardo’s practice is focused on Italian and cross-border transactional and commercial work, principally in the area of domestic and crossborder mergers and acquisitions, transactions, corporate financing and joint ventures.

Ruth works at the headquarter of Yingke Law Firm. She successfully obtained Chinese and British Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Master in International Trade and Commercial Law (LLM) in the UK. Ruth has a bilingual background and is familiar with both civil and common law legal system. She has rich international experience in handling cross-border investment, financing, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border dispute resolution, foreign investment in China, and overseas investment related to the Belt and Road Initiative. Ruth has also provided comprehensive legal services of red chip structures,overseas financing , SAFE Document No. 37 filing and other related legal services for clients.

Ruth used to work in law firm and private trust company in London and accumulated abundant experience related to offshore structure establishment, setting up offshore companies or offshore family trusts for wealth planning. She is good at solving complex legal issues related to the cross-border asset allocation and inheritance of high-net-worth clients in China in different jurisdictions, as well as related offshore planning and investment structure design, family trust design, wealth preservation and inheritance arrangements.

Michael S Carl

Richard Flitcroft

Richard has more than 25 years’ experience advising clients who are subject to regulatory oversight, investigations and enforcement actions. Richard also deals with bribery and corruption allegations and investigations and has designed and managed independent internal investigations for clients, running alongside regulator investigations. He has acted for and against regulators. He has run associated litigation in the New South Wales Supreme, and Commonwealth Federal and High Courts.
