Alix d'Anglejan-Chatillon

Alix d’Anglejan-Chatillon is a partner and co-head of Stikeman Elliott LLP’s financial products and services group. She practices principally in the areas of investment management, the regulation of capital markets and derivatives in Canada. Her clients include managers of North American, European and Asian-based investment funds, including private equity funds, hedge funds, venture capital funds, mutual funds and fund of funds and other investment structures across a broad range of asset classes, as well as other asset managers, broker-dealers, and commercial and investment banks. Alix also regularly advises on Canadian securities, derivatives and other regulatory matters relating to financial markets infrastructure and trading platforms, crypto asset and blockchain technology and transactions, FinTech solutions and other emerging financial products and technologies. She also advises on compliance with related Canadian anti-money laundering and terrorist financing regulation. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of McGill University.

Michèle Eisenhuth

Michèle Eisenhuth is a Partner in the Investment Management practice of Arendt & Medernach. She specialises in investment fund law, advising domestic and international clients on the corporate, regulatory, compliance and governance aspects of the structuring, operation and reorganisation of investment funds and their management entities.

She has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 1995.

She sits on the board of directors of several funds and management companies launched by international asset management groups.

She also sits on the board of directors of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) since June 2017, and on the board of directors of the Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs (ILA).

Lora Froud

Lora advises clients on the structuring and operation of onshore and offshore investment funds, both regulated and unregulated, and also advises on all legal aspects of asset management. She specialises in regulated funds.

Her clients include operators, asset managers, depositaries and custodians of investment funds. Advice is wide ranging and incorporates restructurings and reorganisations, outsourcing and hosting arrangements, investment management agreements, depositary agreements and platform and distribution arrangements.

In addition she regularly assists clients with related EU and UK regulatory and compliance matters. She has particular experience in advising on the UCITS regime, the Retail Distribution Review, the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive, MiFID and PRIIPs.

Daniel Goldberg

Based in Sydney, Australia, Daniel Goldberg is a partner in the Addisons Corporate Advisory team. He has a broad corporate finance practice, with a particular interest in funds management and financial services. Jeremy Lam

Jeremy is a Partner of Deacons in Hong Kong and Head of the Firm’s Financial Services Practice Group. He qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1991 and was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 1992. He specialises in Financial Services with a particular emphasis on retail investment funds and hedge funds. Brian McDermott

Brian McDermott is Head of the A&L Goodbody Asset Management & Investment Funds Group. He has extensive experience in the structuring, establishment and authorisation of all types of investment funds including UCITS, AIFs and non-regulated funds.

In addition to advising the promoters and investment managers of such funds, he advises fund investors, fund directors and fund service providers on relevant Irish law, regulation and market practice.

Brian and his colleagues also advise on all aspects of the regulation of asset management and fund servicing activities in Ireland including the establishment and authorisation of investment managers, fund servicing operations and UCITS and AIF management companies. He has extensive experience advising firms on their Brexit contingency planning and on the implementation of such plans. Christian Schmies

Christian Schmies is a partner in the Frankfurt office of Hengeler Mueller.
