The IBA Professional Wellbeing Commission is pleased to present Mental Health and Wellbeing in Legal Workplaces: A Global Guide, a practical resource to help legal organisations strengthen psychological health and safety and support sustainable performance.

The Guide takes a prevention-focused approach, recognising that mental wellbeing is shaped not only by individual factors, but by how work is designed, organised and managed. It provides a structured framework for identifying and managing psychosocial risks, promoting healthy and supportive workplaces, and responding effectively when people experience difficulties.

Designed for legal organisations across jurisdictions and practice settings, the Guide offers a flexible four-stage pathway and practical tools to help organisations understand their current approach, identify priority areas and progressively embed psychosocial risk management into everyday work, governance and strategy.

The Guide is intended to support HR professionals, firm leaders, managing partners and others with responsibility for workplace wellbeing in creating legal workplaces where people can work safely, sustainably and with dignity.
