Legal project management: how can innovation in project management change law firm practice and the training of future lawyers?
A webinar presented by the IBA Academic and Professional Development Committee
12 JAN 2021 1500 - 1600 GMT
The IBA Academic and Professional Development Committee acts as a link between law schools, professional development professionals, practising lawyers and the IBA itself. The session topic we have chosen contributes to the objectives of the APDC, including:
- Improving the quality of lawyers around the world
- Making the practice of law fit for the modern world
- Making the legal profession an attractive one for the world's most talented students
Project management on large matters can take up a huge chunk of a lawyer's time, but most universities and law firms do not place much emphasis on training this skill. We will discuss the current position and future innovation, with a particular focus on law tech and the part it has to play in project management for lawyers.
