The city is a significant financial centre in Latin America, and is the headquarters for many international businesses, banks and financial institutions. Mexico City has seven hundred years of history from pre-hispanic remains through to the modern city around Reforma. The Zócalo, the colonial era main square, is a fantastic mixture of the architectural styles from that period. Just outside the city is the amazing Teotihuacan. The Pyramid of the Sun is the largest building in Teotihuacan, and one of the largest in Mesoamerica dating back to c. 200 AD
The cuisine in is much more than tacos and a shot of tequila. Steeped in tradition, there is a wide variety of bars and excellent restaurants serving all kinds of Mexican and international food.
