A webinar presented by the Poverty and Social Development Committee, supported by the IBA Criminal Law Committee and the IBA Latin American Regional Forum
It is a reality that there are hate crimes on the grounds of the socioeconomic status, and specifically against the poor. Spain has included this phenomenon in its criminal code and other jurisdictions such as Brazil and France are attempting to fight such discrimination with legal tools.
This webinar will explain the concept of aporophobia – hate against the poor – and how the legal profession can better address this situation.
As we are limited to 1,000 registrants, we request that you please only register for this event if you will be attending.
