A webinar presented by the IBA Law Firm Management Committee, the IBA North American Regional Forum and the IBA European Regional Forum

AI chatbots and agents are increasingly demonstrating their potency as tools for legal practitioners. Despite the widespread attraction and adoption of AI, law firms and lawyers continue to grapple with questions such as which services are best and for which tasks, which services they can trust and how best to protect client data, for example. With no existing rulebook or widely agreed upon set of ‘best practices’ for the use of AI in the practice of law, lawyers are experiencing high levels of uncertainty, even trepidation, especially given the breakneck speed at which AI is advancing. Even prominent, well-respected firms with generous tech budgets are plagued by uncertainty and continue to make mistakes. One thing is certain: to remain relevant and competitive, every lawyer and law firm will need to harness the power of AI while addressing the very real, attendant risks of this breakthrough technology.

This moderated panel will help answer some of the most pressing questions lawyers are asking about integrating AI into their everyday practice. Among the subjects we will cover in this webinar are:

• methods of protecting client privacy;

• best practices for implementing AI technology into your workflow;

• how to recognise and avoid AI ‘hallucinations’; and

• scenarios in which reliance on AI has backfired, and how to avoid the pitfalls.

As we are limited to 1,000 registrants, we request that you please only register for this event if you will be attending.
