A webinar presented by the IBA Anti-Corruption Committee, supported by the IBA Women Lawyers' Committee
This webinar will focus on many subjects, including look at breaking the glass ceiling through navigating career advancement in law firms and corporate legal departments. It will open up an honest conversation on overcoming systemic barriers, shifting from senior associate to partner and securing leadership roles in corporate legal/compliance departments.
Next, the panellists will look at policy, advocacy and change by analysing the impact of diverse perspectives in advocacy. Panellists will ask questions such as ‘how can female leadership reshape legal frameworks and judiciary systems?’ and ‘how can international female leaders use strategic advocacy to challenge systemic biases and champion equity within the legal framework?’
Looking at gender equity in motion, this webinar will evaluate whether current progress is solely the result of women’s individual efforts and whether systemic structural changes are still required to achieve true equity.
On mentorship and allyship, this webinar will look at building networks to support the next generation of female legal professionals. How to find the right advocate and engaging male allies in the push for gender equity?
Finally, in analysing work-life integration, panellists ask what a successful legal career looks like. They will look at managing high-stakes legal careers without compromising personal well-being and motherhood as well as the role of mental health initiatives within legal teams.
