Biography

Daniel Blaettler is a Vice President, General Counsel Corporate, financing and transactions with Lonza Group AG in Basel. In his function, he is responsible for all legal aspects of M&A and major transactions at Lonza. In the last few years, he worked in particular on the acquisition by Lonza of Capsugel (5.5 billion CHF), its financing through an combination of debt and equity and the divestiture of Lonza Specialty Ingredient to Bain / Cinven for 4.2 billion CHF. Daniel is a Swiss and New York qualified lawyer. He holds a BA from the University of Geneva, Switzerland and an LL.M from New York University, USA.
