Biography
I am a lawyer by training and a dedicated mediation and arbitration practitioner with a passion for resolving complex international disputes.
I am committed to delivering tangible value to my clients. I provide strategic and practical mediation and arbitration solutions, helping clients navigate the complexities of international disputes. Whether it's resolving intricate construction claims, handling commercial disputes, or ensuring contractual compliance, I'm committed to achieving the best possible outcomes.
I've had the privilege of achieving significant milestones in my career, including being recognized as the Second Best Female Arbitrator by the Dubai International Arbitration Centre and earning the title of Arbitration Practitioner of the Month and one of the top 5 most appointed female arbitrators in Construction Arbitration by Jus Mundi in September 2022. My journey has led me to become a Chartered Arbitrator, with consistent recognition as a Global Leader in Construction Law by Who’s Who Legal, including the latest recognition in 2023.
My academic journey includes an LL.M in International Business and Trade Law from Fordham University, an LL.B, and specialized training from Oxford. I've also been accredited as a Fellow Mediator by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Med/FCIArb).
Currently, I serve as the founding Partner of Chrysalis (FZE), an Officer/Council Member on the Diversity & Inclusion Council of the IBA and a Committee Member of the CIArb’s UAE branch. My career has taken me through senior roles at prominent law firms, where I've honed my expertise in construction law and arbitration.
I'm a member of esteemed arbitration panels, from the Presidential Panel of Arbitrators (CIArb) to the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), AAA- ICDR, DIAC and many others. My practice spans various sectors, including construction, commodities, and international trade.
I've contributed to the field through publications, speaking engagements, and education initiatives. Sharing knowledge and promoting best practices in arbitration is a personal mission.
