Biography

Dan Weiner heads the Litigation Department at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP, where he has been a partner since 1993. He represents all players in the international art market, including the major auction houses, dealers, galleries, museums, collectors and artists. He litigated the first case in the U.S. under the federal Visual Artists Rights Act, regularly acts in high-stakes matters involving claims of Holocaust-era art transfers and theft of cultural patrimony, and sits on the arbitrator panel for the Court of Arbitration for Art.
