Biography

Paola is a senior counsel at International Finance Corporation (IFC), the world’s largest multilateral development organization focused on the private sector and part of the World Bank Group. Paola has been part of IFC’s legal department for almost 15 years in different capacities (secondee, counsel, senior counsel) working form different offices, including IFC’s headquarters in Washington DC, Bogota and Mexico City. Paola focuses on IFC projects in Latin America and the Caribbean, across sectors, and has extensive experience in green and sustainable finance. Before joining IFC, Paola was a private practitioner and she worked with top-tier law firms in Colombia. She holds a Law Degree from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia and a Master of Law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC.
