David Lewis

Biography

David is managing director and head of AML Advisory at Kroll. From 2015 to 2022 David was the Executive Secretary of the FATF and as G20 Deputy he was a senior advisor to the G7 and G20. Prior to that, David was a senior official in the UK Government, including at HM Treasury and the Serious Organised Crime Agency. David received the inaugural Financial Crime Fighter of the Year Award for his outstanding leadership in the field of AML/CTF, and the ACAMS public service award for his long standing commitment to the global anti-financial crime community. In addition to other non-executive advisory roles, David is a Fellow at RUSI’s Centre for Financial Crime and Security Studies, a board member for the global non-profit Lawyers Without Borders, an honorary lecturer at Cardiff University and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
