Biography

Emanuela Gallo Legal Affairs – ENI SpA Head of ESG, HSE, Upstream IT, Eni Rewind and Environmental Procurement legal assistance Emanuela has been working in the Legal Affairs Department of Eni since 2004, where she joined as the reference lawyer for the former Enichem, now Eni Rewind, Eni Group’s environmental company, and Head of the Administrative, Environmental and HSE Legal Function for Eni and its subsidiaries, both in Italy and abroad. Her expertise has progressively expanded, also taking on the role of reference lawyer for the Oil & Gas business in Italy, for public and private procurement in the environmental sector, and for topics related to the energy transition: Sustainability, Human Rights, Climate Change and ESG. Before joining Eni, Emanuela worked—again in the environmental sector—in international law firms and environmental consulting companies, where she also followed sustainability projects for the World Bank in developing countries. She is the course holder of Climate Change, Human Rights, Sustainability and ESG – the new challenges for businesses at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Milan and a member of the Scientific Committee of the Advanced Training Course ESG and climate change: impacts, risks and opportunities for businesses at the same university. She is the author of numerous publications in her areas of expertise, participates as a lecturer in seminars and postgraduate courses, and speaks at conferences, including at the international level (she will be in Paris at the ESG Conference of the IBA in March 2026 and was in Toronto for the IBA Annual Retreat speaking on sustainability governance). In 2024 her team received the Legal Community award as Energy Legal Team of the Year for its concrete commitment to promoting sustainability topics. LLM in International and comparative environmental law and sustainable development at SOAS University of London. Woman on Board 2025. Registered in the (special) Bar of Milan since 1999 and a member of AIGI and IBA.
