Biography
Philip Tully is a tax partner in the Irish law firm Matheson and is a member of the firm’s international business group and US business group. Philip advises multinational corporations doing business in and from Ireland on all aspects of Irish corporate tax.
Matheson is the largest law firm in Ireland and has significantly the largest tax practice group amongst Irish law firms. Matheson is consistently recognised as the leading tax law firm in Ireland and was named the Ireland Tax Firm of the Year in the ITR EMEA Tax Awards 2022 and Ireland Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year ITR EMEA Tax Awards 2021.
Philip’s main focus is advising clients on cross-border reorganisations, inward investment projects and cross-border transactions. He also advises on tax disputes and transfer pricing matters, including mutual agreement procedure requests, advance pricing agreements and correlative relief claims as well as domestic tax controversy.
Philip is co-author of the Chambers Doing Business in Ireland Guide and has acted as Irish branch reporter for the IFA Cahiers de droit fiscal international and as Irish national reporter for the International Bar Association. Philip regularly participates as a speaker on international tax panels. Philip is a member of the Law Society of Ireland, the Irish Tax Institute and the International Bar Association.
