Biography

MARCELO RIBEIRO DE OLIVEIRA is Federal prosecutor in Brazil since 2006, PhD in Law, at Lisbon University, Portugal and is currently developing post-doctoral studies at the University of Salamanca/Spain. Mr. Ribeiro de Oliveira has carried out several complex investigations and prosecutions related to corruption and money laundering. He was Member of Brazilian Prosecutor General’s Office (2017-2019) as one of the coordinating responsibles for the investigation and prosecution of criminal cases before the Supreme Court, related to high authorities. Since October 2020, he is Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Unit in the MPF. Mr. Ribeiro de Oliveira is member of the Money Laundering Group of the Federal Prosecution Service and of the Permanent Leniency and Collaboration Advisory Committee in the MPF, and was member of the Brazilian delegation in the OECD’s working group on bribery (WGB) and peer reviewer in Phase 4 evaluation from Mexico and Phases 1 and 2, from Peru.
