Biography

Begoña Hormaeche is Sustainability & ESG Leader at QBE Spain. She has over 15 years of experience within the insurance sector. She joined QBE Europe SA/NV, Sucursal en España in 2011 as Marketing and Communications Manager. She subsequently moved to the Market and Business Development department taking on new responsibilities and establishing and developing long-term sustainable relationships and alliances with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, until assuming her current position in Sustainability & ESG. Over the years, Begoña has been involved in different projects and initiatives related to customer engagement, brand positioning and marketing. She has led and represented the Spanish branch of QBE in different employee networks such as the People & Culture Forum, the QBE Foundation Forum and the Sustainability Working Group. Begoña holds a bachelor’s degree in Law and a post-graduate Diploma in European Studies (both) at Deusto University. She also holds an Executive Programme in Business Administration and Communications Management from the IE Law School. Recently, she received the Climate Reality Leadership Corps Certificate through The Climate Reality Project.
