Biography

Following a two year experience in two top UK law firms in London, Gianluca joined the Firm in 1991 and became a partner in 2001. Gianluca has a broad corporate practice, based on national and international M&A work, and has been a member of the Firm’s Private Equity group since its inception. Since 1994, he has spent most of his working experience advising Private Equity houses as well as national and international corporate clients, public or private, on any sort of extraordinary transactions (acquisitions, mergers, LBOs, joint ventures, etc.), helping clients to implement innovative strategies and structures. Gianluca has been assisting on a regular basis Private Equity houses such as 21 Partners, Apax, Ardian (formerly AXA Private Equity), Bridgepoint, Charterhouse, Cobepa – Compagnie Benelux Participations SA, Ergon Capital Partners, IDea Capital, Neuberger, L Capital (currently L Catterton), Triton, Vestar Capital Partners, etc. in structuring their strategic investments on the Italian market, taking part to some of the most relevant transactions of the last years. In addition, Gianluca has been regularly assisting major industry players, such as, Dixons Plc, Federal Mogul, Groupe Bruxelles Lambert, Lear Corporation, Luxottica, Metro, Moncler, SPX Corporation, Stroili Oro, UniEuro, Upim/OVS etc. In 2008, he has been appointed as co-head of the private equity practice of the Firm and member of the firm’s Executive Committee, offices which he covered up until 2012. He is currently a member of the firm’s M&A Steering Committee and head of M&A and Private Equity Practice - Milan Office.
