Biography

Position: Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Legal & Compliance (LEG) since 1 June 2021. Year of birth: 1970 External offices: Member of the Council of Ethics, the Government Pension Fund Global Experience: Rygh Torstensen joined Equinor in 1998. She comes from the position of Senior Vice President and General Counsel, which she held since 1 August 2019. Prior to that she held the position as Head of CEO office from July 2016. From 2011 - 2016 she was Vice President Corporate in LEG. From 1998 - 2011 Rygh Torstensen held various positions within LEG, including as Corporate Compliance Office and Acting General Counsel. Before joining Equinor she worked with the law firm Cappelen & Krefting DA and as a lawyer for Stavanger municipal council. Education: Master of Law from the University of Bergen, Norway, and licensed as an Attorney at Law. Other matters: Rygh Torstensen is a Norwegian citizen and resident in Norway.
