Biography
Özgecan is a Senior Associate at Kabine Law Office and ICC YAF representative for Turkey for 2021-2023 term. Özgecan works with major Turkish and foreign clients in arbitrations under the ICC, LCIA and ISTAC rules concerning post-M&A disputes, commercial disputes and construction disputes. She gives advice on corporate restructuring matters for private and public companies as well. She received her bachelor’s degree from Galatasaray University Law Faculty, and her Magister Juris degree from the University of Oxford with the Jean Monnet Scholarship. She obtained a second master's degree from Istanbul Bilgi University. Her LLM thesis titled “Equity Crowdfunding in comparison with American Law” was published in Turkish by Onikilevha Yayıncılık in December 2020. She served as board member in Galatasaray Alumni Association (Galatasaraylılar Derneği) in 2017-2019 and is currently a board member in Galatasaraylılar Solidarity Foundation (Galatasaraylılar Yardımlaşma Vakfı). Özgecan is a registered lawyer in Istanbul Bar Association
