Biography

Saklaine Hedaraly is the Head of the ICC’s Internal Oversight Mechanism, which is a subsidiary body of the Assembly of States Parties (ASP) providing comprehensive oversight of the Court through the conduct of evaluations, inspections, and internal investigations. A Canadian and French national, he has over ten years of experience in leading, managing, and overseeing all aspects of staff misconduct investigation cases in various United Nations organisations. He joined the UN system as a Prosecutor at the The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), after having started his legal career as an associate in a large American law firm.
