Biography

Hernando specialises in private equity, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets. He has acted as adviser for national and international clients on mergers and acquisitions in Colombia and in the United States, including Darby Private Equity in its acquisition of a 5 per cent equity interest in OCENSA. He also advised Grupo Nacional de Chocolates in its first acquisition of a company in the United States. Additionally, he advised Goldman Sachs on its acquisition of the operations of Vale in Colombia. Hernando has represented domestic and international private capital sponsors in their local and international investments, including General AtlanticVista Equity Partners, ALTRA and Darby Overseas.
