Biography
Blessing Oluwapamilerin Akabunwa (Pamilerin) is a Corporate Immigration Specialist, Partner, and Team Lead at Famsville Solicitors, a Pan-African law firm based in Lagos, Nigeria. At Famsville, Pamilerin leads the Corporate Immigration and Regulatory Compliance practice area. Together with her team, she routinely advises local companies and multinational organizations on corporate immigration requirements and compliance, as well as employee migration processes in Nigeria. She frequently liaises with regulatory bodies to ensure clients' compliance with updates to immigration policies. Pamilerin has authored and co-authored numerous articles on corporate immigration. Notably, she contributed to the Nigerian Chapter of the International Comparative Legal Guide (ICLG) to Corporate Immigration in 2020 and 2021. Her thought leadership in corporate immigration has earned her recognition as a Mondaq Thought Leader in 2020 and 2021. She holds memberships in several professional associations, including the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the NBA Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL), and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Pamilerin also serves as the Assistant Publicity Secretary of the Nigeria Immigration Lawyers Association (NILA) and is a Diversity and Inclusion Officer for the Immigration and Nationality Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA). Additionally, she is an associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb). Pamilerin’s expertise extends beyond Corporate Immigration, encompassing Corporate Transactions, Real Estate and Construction, and Labour and Employment law. A sought-after speaker, Pamilerin has delivered presentations at high-profile events, including the Global Migration Section Annual Conference of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (GMS/AILA) and International Bar Association (IBA) conferences.
