Folakunmi Pinheiro
Biography
Folakunmi is a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Cambridge, where his research explores the relationship between competition law and economic development in African countries. His work has been published in multiple journals and on his blog, 'Compedia' (available on Substack). At Cambridge, Folakunmi co-founded the Cambridge Competition Law Discussion Group, spent a semester as an exchange student at Harvard Law School, and served as a Senior Editor of the Cambridge Law Review. He has taught LLM students at both the University of Cambridge and University College London, and has gained practical experience at Geradin Partners LLP, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, and Olaniwun Ajayi LP. Beyond competition law, he is the co-host of 'The Africa Briefing', a biweekly podcast covering African politics and business news (available on all major streaming platforms).
