Bernd Ehle
Biography
Bernd Ehle specialises in international arbitration and has acted as counsel and arbitrator in numerous administered and ad hoc international arbitral proceedings governed by various procedural and substantive laws. Bernd’s practice focuses on complex, high-value disputes involving in particular major infrastructure and construction projects, joint venture agreements, M&A transactions and sales and distribution contracts. He has extensive experience in a broad range of industries, including energy (oil & gas, solar, wind, hydro), mining, telecommunications, life sciences and automotive. Bernd is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and a member of the Arbitration Court of the Swiss Arbitration Centre as well as of the Executive Committee of the Foundation for International Arbitration Advocacy (FIAA), and he co-chairs the Construction Group of the German Arbitration Institute (DIS). Bernd holds a Ph.D. (Heidelberg) and an LL.M. (Northwestern University).
