Margriet Lukkien

Biography

Margriet Lukkien is a tax partner with Loyens & Loeff in Amsterdam, a member of the Region Team US and chair of the practice group international tax services Americas. She advises multinational entities (especially North-American-based), financial institutions and sovereign wealth funds on Dutch corporate tax and dividend withholding tax aspects and accompanying international tax aspects. Her expertise includes international structuring/restructuring. She frequently acts as chair or speaker at international tax seminars and conferences. She has been ranked in the International Tax Review (ITR) World Tax and she has been listed as one of the Women in Tax Leaders in "The comprehensive guide to the world's leading female tax advisers" of the ITR. She has been ranked in The Legal 500, most recently as Leading Individual. She has been ranked in Chambers as well. She has been a board member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB) since June 2021. In addition, she is the chair of the NOB core group on legal certainty and legal protection and she is a member of the International Tax Affairs Section of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB). She is an active member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and won the 2010 IBA Taxation Scholarship. She was an officer of the IBA Taxes Committee from 2013-2018 and was co-chair of the IBA Taxes Committee for 2019 and 2020.
