Fernando Tamayo

Biography

Fernando Tamayo is a Partner with Coffey Burlington and is Co-Chair of the Firm’s International Law practice group. His practice focuses on anti-corruption/anti-bribery (FCPA) compliance, white collar criminal defense, sanctions matters, and complex commercial litigation. Mr. Tamayo’s clients include companies and individuals based in the United States and abroad, including multinational energy and construction companies and international manufacturers and distributors. Mr. Tamayo provides anti-corruption training and advisory services to clients worldwide, and represents clients in white collar investigations and proceedings in the United States. Mr. Tamayo also has experience representing clients in actions before OFAC, Interpol and the United Nations Human Rights Court, and is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Miami School of Law, where he teaches International Anti-Corruption Law and Practice.
