Biography

Legal Director of Diageo Southern Europe, with responsibility over Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, and Greece. Member of the Diageo Southern Europe Executive team. Diageo is a global leader in beverage alcohol with an outstanding collection of brands across spirits and beer, including Johnnie Walker, Guinness, Smirnoff, Tanqueray, J&B, Zacapa or Baileys, with over 27.000 employees and presence in 180 countries. Until 2022, I combined my work at Diageo with lecturing on Corporate and Commercial Law at Universidad Autónoma of Madrid. Previous to joining Diageo in 2010, I worked as in-house lawyer in Gas Natural Fenosa (today, Naturgy), looking after legal support to the upstream business division, mostly in the North and West Africa regions. Before becoming an in-house lawyer, I started my career in private practice in the areas of Competition Law and Regulated Sectors in Spanish Law firms Pérez-Llorca and CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo. I have a Law Degree by the University of Granada, a Master Degree on EU Law at University Carlos III of Madrid and an LLM by Columbia University School of Law in New York.
