Biography

Andrew is a partner at CM Murray LLP, a London based boutique firm specialising in employment, partnership and professional discipline matters. His own area of specialism is professional discipline/regulatory matters, where he is ranked as a "Next Generation Partner" in Legal 500. His particular specialism is the regulation of lawyers, where he advises both firms and individual partners in relation to misconduct allegations and self reporting obligations to the UK regulator (the Solicitors Regulation Authority). He has had conduct of/assisted in lengthy and complex proceedings before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. Andrew works closely with law firm General Counsel and compliance officers to assist them in complying with their regulatory obligations. He provides training to law firms on how to avoid and deal with conduct issues, including sexual misconduct. He also has substantial experience in professional negligence claims, having edited the "lawyers liability" chapter of the second edition of the "Law of Legal Services and Practice" (John Gould).
