Elizabeth Richmond
Biography
Elizabeth is a partner in the Sydney office of Clifford Chance practising Australian competition and consumer protection law. Elizabeth regularly advises on merger control, competition questions, strategy, structuring issues, and transactional matters where they intersect with the Australian Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). She has advised in relation to a number of industries who have been the subject of enforcement proceedings brought by the ACCC for breach of both the competition and consumer provisions of the CCA. She has also advised various government departments in relation to matters that intersect with competition law, including the Commonwealth Department of Defence and the NSW Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal. She is admitted in both Australia and New Zealand and has practiced in both jurisdictions in relation to high-profile litigation including cartel conduct, class actions and merger control matters which have been opposed by the regulator.
