Biography

Scott Grinsell is Global Co-Head of Engagement at Elliott Investment Management, where he focuses on the firm’s activism and M&A situations globally. He was previously a corporate lawyer at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and served as a law clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and to Justice Sonia Sotomayor on the United States Supreme Court. He received his J.D. from Yale Law School, an M.Phil. from Magdalen College Oxford as a Marshall Scholar, and a B.A. summa cum laude from Williams College. Scott is a member of the Board of Advisors of the NYU Law School Institute for Corporate Governance and Finance and the Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance.
