Jeffrey Elkinson
Biography
Jeffrey Elkinson has had a distinguished career in complex commercial litigation and arbitration. He is a member of numerous Bars, including Ireland, England, Hong Kong, New South Wales Australia, New York, Bermuda, and the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, and is admitted to the US Supreme Court. He has served as a Special Assistant Attorney-General for Massachusetts and acts as an Assistant Justice of the Supreme Court of Bermuda. As a member of STEP and a door tenant of Des Voeux Chambers in Hong Kong, he consults for Carey Olsen, a leading offshore law firm in Bermuda, specializing in cross-border disputes, regulatory matters, telecom disputes, and high-net-worth individual trust cases. Jeffrey is an arbitrator with appointments from various organizations like ICC, LCIA, and CIArb, and is a Past President of CIArb. Recognized by Chambers, Legal 500, and Who’s Who Legal, he is celebrated as a tactically minded, commercially effective dispute resolution lawyer. His pro bono work includes serving as Education Officer of the Ethics Committee of the International Bar Association.
