Biography

With a degree in Economics, Giovanni began his career at Deloitte & Touche before transitioning to law at Gianni Origoni & Partners (Rome) and then - with a second degree in Law - co-founding Studio LMS in 2006. After moving in-house in 2013, he held senior legal roles at Prelios SGR and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, focusing on corporate finance, capital markets, and banking law. He joined illimity Bank in 2018, contributing to legal strategy across business units, governance, and regulatory affairs. From 2019 to 2021, he chaired illimity SGR, leading its launch and growth. Until February 2025, he served as General Counsel of illimity. Today, Giovanni is Deputy CEO & General Counsel, overseeing central functions, and also serves as General Manager and Secretary General of fondazione illimity.
