Biography

I am an attorney at law, having dual expertise in finance and tax practices. I provide advice on the structuring and operation of domestic and foreign investment funds, inbound and outbound securities transactions, and alternative investments. I have fluent experience in public offerings, private placements, and secondary sales of interests in investment funds and other kinds of financial products to Japanese institutional or individual investors. I also provides advice on various tax issues, primarily related to investment funds, securities transactions, and other cross-border transactions. I have involved in both pre-deal analyses and tax disputes, including those related to corporate and individual income taxes, value added tax, inheritance and gift taxes, and international taxation.
