Biography

Margriet Lukkien is a tax partner with Loyens & Loeff in Amsterdam and member of the Region Team US. She advises multinational entities (especially North-American-based), financial institutions and sovereign wealth funds on Dutch corporate tax and dividend withholding tax aspects and accompanying international tax aspects. Her expertise includes international structuring/restructuring. She frequently acts as chair or speaker at international tax seminars and conferences. She has been ranked in The Legal 500, most recently as Leading Individual. She has been ranked in Chambers and ITR as well. She has been a board member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB) since June 2021. First as non-executive board member and since May 2025 as executive board member. In addition, she is the chair of the NOB Committee for Professional Affairs. She is an active member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and won the 2010 IBA Taxation Scholarship. She was an officer of the IBA Taxes Committee from 2013-2018 and was co-chair of the IBA Taxes Committee for 2019 and 2020.
