Biography

Steve Michoulas is an airport lawyer with over 22 years of experience, based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Prior to founding Avra Law, Steve spent nine years at YVR as Director of Legal Services, where he managed the vast majority of the airport's legal affairs, including land developments, leasing, non-aeronautical revenue projects (including YVR development and the global sale of automated passport control kiosks ), airport use licences, operational matters, Competition Act matters, jurisdictional/constitutional matters, and financing. Following his time at YVR, Steve was a partner at a national law firm, then founded Avra Law so that he could further focus on airport representation. Steve acts for a number of airports in Canada, primarily in BC, on a wide variety of airport matters. Steve sits on the Board of the BC Aviation Council and he is a former member of the ACI-NA Legal Affairs Committee.
