Biography

Christine Carson, the sole owner and founder of Carson Proxy, brings an extensive and accomplished career in crafting and executing high-impact shareholder communication strategies. She has advised clients on complex scenarios, including proxy battles, hostile takeovers, M&A, consent solicitations, corporate governance, executive compensation, and shareholder proposals. Frequently acting as an expert witness, Christine has provided critical insights in high-profile cases such as Riot vs. Bitfarms and Mithaq vs. Aimia. She is also a sought-after speaker at industry conferences on the complexities of shareholder voting in Canada, guiding CEOs, corporate secretaries, counsels, and investor relations professionals. Starting at a stock transfer and trust company, Christine advanced to roles of increasing responsibility before being recruited as a strategist at Canada’s then-only proxy solicitation firm. Her entrepreneurial journey includes helping launch two successful shareholder communication firms and a transfer agent and trust company, culminating in founding Carson Proxy. Recent projects include advising Browning West, Simpson Oil, Sierra Metals, and Boat Rocker Media, showcasing her expertise in high-stakes engagements. From 2022 to 2024, Christine served on the board of directors of Americas Gold and Silver Corporation (TSX: USA) (NYSE American: USAS).
