Biography
John has been involved in multiple facets of international trade since 1992. Prior to joining Leggett & Platt, he was a member of an international trade consultancy located in Washington, D.C. He has also served as a manager for two different customhouse brokerages during his career. He joined Leggett in 2003 to organize and lead Leggett & Platt’s centralized trade compliance. Since then his group’s responsibilities have grown to encompass the management of multiple facets of the Corporation’s international supply chain processes. In 2014 he was named President of Leggett’s entire Global Services group, and has been responsible for overseeing the group’s supply chain management teams in China, Europe, Mexico, Vietnam and various other locations globally during his time at Leggett & Platt - as now leads the Corporation’s now centralized supply chain and trade compliance groups with multiple global locations. He is both an international trade attorney licensed to practice before the U.S. Court of International Trade, as well as a licensed U.S. Customhouse Broker. His academic credentials include a B.A. in Economics from DePauw University as well as a J.D. from University of Illinois (Chicago) Law School.
