Mutasim A Ali

Biography

1 / 1 Mutasim A. Ali is a legal advisor at the Raoul Wallenberg Center for Human Rights, an author, and co-author of groundbreaking legal analyses on peacebuilding and constitution-making in post-conflict states, atrocity prevention, child protection, and refugee and asylum protection. His current practice areas encompass international law, international human rights and humanitarian law, targeted human rights and anti-corruption sanctions. Prior to joining our team, Ali served as a legal consultant for Project Expedite Justice and Civitas Maxima, and he collaborated on a project for the International Criminal Court in Sudan. Ali holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at Academic College of Law and Business (Israel) and a Master of Laws (LLM) at George Washington University. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD) degree at the American University Washington College of Law. His research interests primarily concentrate on peace-making and constitution-making processes in post-conflict states.
