Biography
Violetta Kunze is a Partner at Djingov, Gouginski, Kyutchukov & Velichkov since 2003, currently serving as Head of TMT and AI Governance, and Co-Head of Corporate and M&A practices of the firm. She has been, and is actively involved in the International Bar Association, where she is a Member of the Advisory Board of the Communications Law Committee and a former Co-Chair of that Committee. Highly regarded in the legal field, she has received multiple top-tier recognitions in Legal 500, Chambers and Partners Europe, IFLR 1000 and Media Law International. Violetta holds a Executive LLM Law & AI, University of Liege (2025), Diploma in American and International Law from the Academy of American and International Law in Dallas (1998) and an LL.M. from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski (1991–1996).
With over 25 years of experience, she advises on complex TMT, corporate, and regulatory matters, including major telecom and media transactions, cross-border M&A, and landmark investments in Bulgaria. She regularly assists global tech companies on providing their services and products in compliance with regulatory requirements. Her work spans telecom regulation, digital platforms, data protection, cybersecurity, and AI governance, as well as representation before the national regulators. She has also developed significant expertise in the automotive industry, advising on connected car services and related regulatory frameworks. She has played a key role in some of the largest telecom-sector transactions in the region and is widely recognized by leading international legal directories.
