Biography

Dirk Spacek is a partner at Wenger Plattner, a Switzerland-based fully integrated full-service law firm. He advises Swiss and international companies on complex issues at the intersection of technology, law and business, particularly regarding data-driven business models and regulatory matters. His expertise includes intellectual property law, regulation of digital platforms and media, entertainment, e-commerce, outsourcing, cloud and IT-contracts, data protection and cybersecurity. He also advises SMEs and startups on general contract management (external legal services) and supports technology-related M&A-transactions. Another focus is advising and representing clients in technically complex commercial disputes. He regularly represents clients before state courts and is a certified mediator with the ITDR (Institution for IT and Data Dispute-Resolution). His long background as a musician informs his understanding of creative processes in innovation-driven industries.
