Syed Nusrat Hassan

Biography

Nusrat Hassan is a dual-qualified lawyer admitted in India and England & Wales, and a Chevening Scholar with over three decades of experience in international arbitration and dispute resolution. He has advised and represented clients in sophisticated cross-border disputes spanning the technology, telecom, manufacturing, securities, and shareholder sectors, including arbitrations under ICC and SIAC Rules. He currently serves as Chairman & Director of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators India (FCIArb) and is a Founding Member of the Indian Arbitration Forum. He is also empanelled as an arbitrator with the Beijing Arbitration Commission and the Maldives International Arbitration Centre. Nusrat is particularly recognised for his international outlook, institutional arbitration expertise, and nuanced handling of multi-jurisdictional commercial disputes. He has also been recognised by leading legal directories for his expertise in arbitration and dispute resolution
