Amir Singh Pasrich
Biography
Amir Singh Pasrich is currently Treasurer of the International Bar Association and Secretary Treasurer of the IBA's Legal Practice Division. He is a member of the IBA Management Board. He is designated as a Senior Advocate by the Delhi High Court. Pasrich read law at Worcester College, Oxford University after graduating from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University with a B.Sc. Degree. He is an alumnus of The Doon School, Dehradun and a member of the Indian Public Schools Society. In 2024-25 Pasrich was President of the Oxford & Cambridge Society of India. With three decades of legal practice he has been Managing Partner of the law firm (International Law Affiliates) that he co-founded in 1998. He has been or is counsel to various governments and their embassies or High Commissions in India. Pasrich has acted for, advised or represented the Delegation of the European Union, the United States Department of Homeland Security, the American Embassy, New Delhi, the Government of Canada and the Canadian High Commission, New Delhi the French Embassy, New Delhi, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, New Delhi, several Airlines including British Airways, Delta Air Lines, Air France & KLM etc. He has been Honorary Legal Adviser to two British High Commissioners of the British High Commission, New Delhi. As a commercial lawyer and litigator, Pasrich handles Arbitration cases, heavy engineering and project related disputes. He has acted as Counsel in Competition Law matters, Sports disputes, Aviation cases, Employment & Industrial Law cases, Construction cases, White Collar and transnational crime cases, Debt Recovery, Company law disputes, land and real estate cases, family disputes, public procurement and writ jurisdiction matters, cross-border joint venture disputes, franchising and international distribution cases, National Green Tribunal and environment related matters, Consumer Cases at the NCDRC and Supreme Court level, as also a wide range of private disputes in Courts and Fora ranging from Tribunals to the High Courts in India as also before the Supreme Court of India. Pasrich lives in New Delhi and plays tennis, squash and occasionally golf. He retains a plus one polo handicap and enjoys equestrian sports. He is married and has two daughters.
