Biography

Well known within the industry, Jay Biancamano is the head of tokenization & digital assets at Platonic, as well as a consultant and Advsior. In his role, he is responsible for the roadmap for Tokenization. Jay believes that for Tokenization to accelerate, there needs to be an industry wide approach to create a network and ecosystem for firm the securely tokenize assets while achieving all the benefits of blockchain. Prior to joining Platonic, Biancamano served as head of digital assets tokenization, digital fund administration and commercialization at State Street. He has held leadership positions at Fidessa, Liquidnet, and Pipeline (acquired by Factset). In addition he founded Hoyvin, one of the first AI driven equity platforms. He also served on the board of the Center of Innovation at Rutgers University and an adjunct professor of business at The College of New Jersey. Jay has been involved in designing and building a number of innovative products around new technologies in Capital markets for more than 20 years. These include some of the first algorithmic and analytical trading tools, as well as creating some of the largest Global ATS’ . He has a BA from Rutgers University in Finance, an MBA from Fordham University in MIS and International Business as well as post graduate studies at the Wharton School of UPenn. Biancamano is a well-respected pioneer in innovation including crypto, digital and blockchain in capital markets, trading, tokenization, issuance and custody. He is a much sought-after presente and widely quoted and published thought leader on digital assets and tokenization topics.
